Our Mr. Gangaa C SHARMA, Managing Director & CEO,participated in recent  11th  International Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium Society (IBAAS) along with the Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development & Design Centre (JNARDDC), IBAAS-JNARDDC 2023, held in Nagpur, India during December 4-6, 2023  and won the best presentation award in the sustainability category.

The National and International sustainability initiatives expect companies of all sectors including Aluminium, to carry out supply chain due-diligence and made public disclosures about its supply chain commitment, performance and challenges e.g. SEBI as Indian Stock Market regulator for listed companies, London Metal Exchange (LME) responsible sourcing requirements, Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) a global sustainability performance certification program and many more.

The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) performance standard version 3.0 criterion 9.8 require companies of both upstream and downstream to carry out due-diligence of their supply chain. The supply chain activity determines the responsibility and process for conducting due diligence OECD five step framework with focus on Conflict Affected and High Risk Area (CAHRA).
